Thanks to everyone that responded to my post.
From all of the responses it would seem that when a silicone sheath is used
with a seamed liner there can be the problem with the glue seams coming loose,
and the answer is to use a seamless cone liner such as the one available from
DAW.
There was also a long list of other adhesives to use that might work.
