For the last few days since that Friday afternoon my fax line rang I have sent a number of e-mails directly to the academy.

No response!

Well if you call the form letter that clarified nothing, then I received the same as everyone else.

I'm surprised that I haven't seen that same letter hanging on the walls of PT Departments in my area.

I find it very hard to believe that a organization which is based on furthering our O&P education could have undercut our entire
profession without a simple survey or polling to see which side of the proverbial fence we're on.

My first reaction was WHY!

Why would a letter need to be sent, wouldn't a sly slip of the tongue during a discussion with the PT 's be enough.

Evidently not.

It seems that our academy has gotten a taste of politics stemming from their handling of the ABC-BOC controversy.
I already pay dues to an organization (AOPA) which works the political side, I don't need two which cancel out each other.
As proud as I was to receive my FAAOP (and extended it shortly there after), I' am even more ashamed to even be a member of this
educational sham of an organization.

I hope that if you feel as betrayed as I do you will make your displeasure known to this current elected board of the academy.

Thanks to Mr. Hamontree and Mr. Snell for their quick and eloquent postings. Don't let their voices stand alone.
