Hello all,
I am experiencing difficulties locating an appropriate work boot/shoe for a
patient. Hopefully one of you can help.
The patient is 6'5 315 lbs with diabetes and a history of greater toe
ulceration from plantar and lateral pressure. He works in a lab and his
employer requires he wear steel toe boots/shoes with a non-marking sole.
His shoe size is 15 EEE. His greater toes tend to depress when weight
bearing leading to skin breakdown. In order to provide an adequate diabetic
insert, the boot/shoe must be an extra depth design.
I've researched BA Mason, PW Minor, Footsmart, & Iron Age shoes, among
others.
Do any of you know of an alternate source?
Thanks, Vince
