EMPLOYMENT NOTICE
POSITION: Clinical Director/O&P Clinic
STATUS: Faculty, Full-Time Position, Twelve-Month Appointment
SALARY: Negotiable
START DATE: March 15, 2005
THE INITIAL REVIEW OF APPLICATION WILL BEGIN ON OR ABOUT MARCH 1, 20045 AND
CONTINUE UNTIL THE POSITION IF FILLED.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Clinical Director/O&P Center reports directly to the Division Chair of
the Health & Environmental Technology Division and is generally responsible
for providing clinical and administrative direction for all facets of
orthothic, prosthetic, and pedorthic care. Formulates and implements
patient care policies and procedures, and participates in overall component
decision-making. Directs, coordinates, and oversees the administration of
all professional and associated support staff. This position coordinates
with the Division Chair of the Health & Environmental Technology Division
and with other organizational units within the OSU-Okmulgee system on
matters relevant to meeting the goals and objectives of the assigned
service programs. This position is contingent upon funding provided from
self-generated revenue programs, projects, and services. Continual
employment is subject to on-going funding and cash flow.
SUPERVISION: Receives direct supervision from the Chair of the Health &
Environmental Technologies Division.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be certified by the American Board for Certification
in Orthotics and Prosthetics. and have an Oklahoma License or qualified for
a license to practice Orthotics and Prosthetics in Oklahoma. Must have 2-3
years experience actively providing patient care. Applicants must comply
with IRCA.
OTHER PREFERENCES: Certified in Pedorthics from the Board for
Certification in Pedorthics (BCP) Previous teaching experience and
non-tobacco user.
Other Conditions of Employment - Successful candidate must submit to post
offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check. May be
required to submit to annual TB and rubella screening. UNM will provide
Hepatitis vaccination, candidate may decline vaccination through
declination form or may provide record of vaccination from previous
employer. CPR Certified.
