ACADEMY WILL DEBUT THREE POSTERS DEVELOPED WITH NETTER
Anatomical posters dealing specifically with O&P topics are rare and
badly needed. The Academy has commissioned Icon Learning Systems, which
produces the popular Netter charts, to create O&P charts based on the
information reviewed for the first three consensus conferences on
scoliosis, post-operative amputee care, and Plagiocephaly.
The full color charts were developed and reviewed by the chairpersons of
the respective conferences and Wendy Beattie, CPO, FAAOP who chaired the
Academy's Publications Committee at that time. Each poster provides
information which will be useful in helping patients (and parents)
understand the conditions described on the poster.
The posters will be mailed to Academy members in April and also be
displayed at the Academy's membership booth during the Annual Meeting
March 16-19 at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando. A small
quantity of the posters will also be available for sale.
Complete details about the meeting program and online registration can
be found on the Academy's website at www.oandp.org. This is the first
Academy Annual Meeting co-located with ACPOC.
