What is the O&P Policy Forum?
A gathering of O&P professionals who want to speak directly with Capitol
Hill legislators making decisions that impact our profession.

When is it?
June 20-22, 2005 in Washington, D.C.

Who should attend?
You should! All members of the O&P community should attend. Stand
together and fight for our profession on Capitol Hill!

Why should I attend?
It is important for Congress to hear directly from you to help achieve
fair treatment for the O&P community and our patients. While AOPA has a
staff of experts dedicated to lobby members of Congress, it is even more
important they hear from professionals in the field. Receive Capitol
Hill 101 training from AOPA experts and learn the ins and outs of O&P
advocacy. Participating in government isn't as complicated as you think
- ensure the O&P voice is united, clear and heard on Capitol Hill.

What will I do at the Policy Forum?
You will educate lawmakers on the key issues facing O&P so that we can
fight for our piece of the Medicare pie.

I've never met my legislator, how will I know what to say?
Don't worry! It's not as daunting as you think. Expert AOPA staff will
arm you with all the information necessary to be a strong advocate for
O&P, allowing you to present it in the best way to your legislators. You
will also find out how simple it is to make contact with the decision
makers on Capitol Hill - one person really does make a difference! Your
efforts not only benefit you personally, but help the entire field get
our message across to key policymakers.

Stay tuned to www.AOPAnet.org for registration information. In the
meantime, mark your calendar to attend!
