I believe the readers of the Pedorthic Newswire will be very happy to hear
this news! Jerry Wilson, the administrator of the Pedorthic School, and his
Associates at Oklahoma State University at Okmulgee have developed the best
two new tools for Pedorthic teaching I have ever seen. I just wish they had
done it in 1960. If you can't pass the Pedorthic Exam after completing the
information on these two CDs and taking the included exam, you need to
change to Dog Catcher.
Seriously, these wonderful two new CDs are interactive. The first one is a
Pedorthic Encyclopedia. It covers over 350 Pedorthic terms and definitions.
It has Web Links, Pedorthic book page references plus a wonderful Pedorthic
Terminology. Then it has a multiple choice quiz very much like the questions
on the big certification test.
The second CD is even better. It contains over 50 Pedorthic Pathologies &
Conditions. It illustrates these conditions in addition to defining them
with Photos and X-rays. Then it lists the common Pedorthic treatments
regularly prescribed for treating these conditions. It also comes with
multiple choice questions at the end so you can see what you have retained,
and what you need to review.
My congratulations to Jerry, Bill Meanwell and Rick Sevier for their hard
work on this much needed material that they have put into such useful form.
They have a web site for those who want to learn more. It's
