The Barr Foundation would like to thank Roy P.McMurray LP and Brevard
Prosthetics in Brevard County Florida for answering our below request posted
to the O&P list serve last week.Thank you Paul and OANDP-L for the media to
solicit this help.
Brevard Prosthetics suceesfully fitted Julio Montoya ,36 year old Peruvian
amputee and land mine victim, with a new socket and foot donated by Freedom
Innovations in order for him to continue his walk from Boston to Miami and
bring public awareness to the unlimited possibilities amputees can perfom
from recieving proper prosthetic rehabilitation.
He started his trip from Boston on June 22,2004. As he nears Indian River
county you Treasure and Space Coast residents can see him walking down US 1
with a large American Flag drapped over his shoulders.

Subject: Attention Florida Practitioners / Barr Foundation seeks assistance
for Amputee walking down US 1 in Brevard County to Miami
Julio Montoya , a b/k amputee is currently walking down US 1 just south of
New Symrna Beach,Florida, carrying a large American Flag to bring
awareness of the unlimited possibilities of proper prosthetic rehabilitation
.His trip began in Boston June 22nd and will conclude in Miami.

The Barr Foundation would like to find a qualified prosthetist to meet up
with him along his route on US 1 , give him our Barr Foundation logo
patches and money order for a hotel room (which we will fed ex to you )and
check out his leg and prosthesis . We think Titusville to Melbourne by
Monday perhaps even this Friday, would be a good location.
His story is just too good to pass up. Hope to hear from you soon.
