Dave, Ken and others whom have an interest in information providing
prosthetic rehabilitation to animals.
I am not a proshetist but am and have been equine enthusiast for 16 years,I
have 5 horses of my own.
Recently in the October 2004 issue of the nationally published equestrian
magazine,Equus, there is a very informative article of successful
rehabilitation to horses titled AN ARTIFICIAL LEG TO STAND ON by Joseph
and Carol Berke and Christine Barakat.Copies can be obtained by contacting
www.equusmagazine.com <Email Address Redacted> or calling 800-829-5910
They are presently offering a free trail issue so you maybe able to request
a comp copy of the October issue.

The in depth artlice cites prosthetic rehabilitation as to animals as a
evoling science (isnt it for people as well ?:)and names of DMV whom work
closely with prosthetists thru the country.photos of various devices are
exampled as well.
Might I also suggest contacting prosthetist Ronnie Graves from PRS, Bushnell
Florida for inclusion to your meet in Orlando who works with animals.

I'd like to meet to discuss success and failure with horse and dog O&P
management. I too have had my share of success and failure, I'm seeing my
first horse this month. I'll be in Florida at the academy meeting as well.
