Subject: [OANDP-L] NBC and lack of Paraolympic coverage

You may or may not know that this past Sunday's (8/22) Olympic wheelchair
exhibition events were specifically listed on NBC's play list for the day,
running between 4 - 4:30 p.m., but failed to get any coverage. The
implications of this omission are significant. This year's Paralympic Games
will receive NO television coverage within the United States. The one, small
opportunity to offer a glimpse into the Paralympics was taken away. That
means a lot, and NBC should know that it means a lot. It's imperative that
NBC understands that a sizable portion of the population was negatively
affected by the omission, more specifically, it's imperative that NBC
understands that the Paralympic Movement - in which each one of you plays a
critical role - was negatively affected.
