Hello to all Listserv members:
As we all know, Medicare Region C is killing all P&O facilities with denials
and documentation requests.
Is anyone out there interested in starting a grass-roots effort to address
these issues with our local offices? Does anyone have any suggestions what
organization we can approach regarding these issues and if any of our Boards or
Associations are assisting with these types of efforts? It seems this these
concerns are constantly voiced, but never addressed.
We need to voice our opinions and concerns as practitioners and business
owners and a unified effort from everyone (Not only Region C) is required to make
these changes.
While I have little time as it is (as do most of you reading this) , I feel
that these issues impact our practices and our profession and need to be
addressed. I will be contacting my local office as well as getting contacts for
other Medicare Regions should anyone else be interested. I have also heard that
representative from the various regions will be available at the AOPA meeting
in September - this would be a great arena to introduce a proposal for changes
to the current provider status for DMEPOS!!!
Please contact me should you wish to discuss this further.
Thanks
