To All Concerned,
It is with great sorrow that I must relay to you the death of Lou Harvey C.O. last Friday morning.
He died at home surrounded by his wife and family. The field of Orthotics has lost a gentle, humble giant of
a man. He was part innovative artisan, part Will Rodgers. In the ten plus years that I had the pleasure of working with him, I never saw an orthotic intervention that he could not resolve. And yet, no one ever made a better beanie-weanie bazooka that could fire a projectile farther than his. He could coax reluctant teens into wearing their scoliosis braces: loud , hyperactive C.P. kids were just ...busy....with places to go, people to see..
Little old ladies would ask for the man who looks like Grizzly Adams when they couldn't remember his name.
His response to the strange and bizarre , Everyone's gotta have a hobby..
Perhaps it was best said recently by one of Lou's former associates, It was an honor to be considered his
friend. For many of us who knew him, we lost our best friend.
To all of you who have contributed to the, 'Lou and Sharon Harvey Special Fund' and or passed along your thoughts and prayers, please accept my heart felt thanks. If you were considering a contribution, please do.
This account at the Bank Of Hawaii was established to not only pay for his medical expenses, but to also help
his spouse, Sharon cope with expenses that any passing brings. If you have any questions about the account, please feel free to contact me . God bless you all for your help in this matter.
Sincerely,
Bob Laver CPO
P.S. Lou....I'll see yah on down the road.
