At our amputee clinic we select a quad socket for amputees who will spend
most of their time in the wheelchair. For amputees that will walk more we
suggest one of the many isch containment socket designs. Many of these are
modified quad sockets.

Suction socket suspension is interchangeable with quad or IC and we are
starting to lean more toward gel liner suspension.
