Greetings fellow O&P Professionals,
I would appreciate your advice on fitting a 16 y/o female patient who plays
soccer and rows competitively with patellar stabilizing orthoses. She has
bilateral patellar lateral subluxation. She previously used neoprene sleeves
with patellar buttresses, but had trouble with popliteal pinching and
durability. She often gets wet while rowing and certainly sweaty in both
activities. I am thinking of something with an open popliteal area (to allow
full knee flexion), worn over a wicking sleeve. Any suggestions?
