I received my copy of the O & P Almanac on Monday, and I read the article
regarding the ABC/BOC situation. While discussing this matter with a
colleague the next day, I stated that it would be interesting if every
ABC certifee accepted the free BOC credential offered to them by the BOC
board. Then the new BOC members could vote out the present BOC board and
replace them with a new board that would vote to accept ABC's offer to
consolidate. Wouldn't that be interesting?
There is more than one way to get consolidation of O & P.
Personally, I think state licensure is the best way.
I need to make it clear that I am NOT advocating this. I have absolutely
no intention of ever having any BOC credential (even free ones).
