The Midwest Chapter of AAOP is offering another unique and exciting symposium
at it's Summer Scientific Seminar June 3-5 in Milwaukee, WI.
Cad-Cam From Practitioner's Perspectives, will offer insight on four
different systems from practitioners who utilize these in their every day practices.
These perspectives offer the advantages and disadvantages of each system and
how it differs from conventional or traditional methods. Jonathan Naft CP will
be discussing the Ohio Willow Wood Omega system, William Neu III CP the
Hanger Insignia system, Jim Kaiser CP presents Seattle Shapemaker and Joel
Kempfer CP FAAOP shares his experience with Otto Bock's ETS for transtibial and
transfemoral design. After these presentations will be a round table
discussion by all four presenters to further share their experience.
The Summer Scientific Meeting will also provide a wide variety of other
topics in it's didactic sessions such as, Clinical Management of Cerebral Palsy by
Maurice Sholas M.D., Case Study of Transverse Myelitits by Terry Supan CPO
FAAOP, Marketing Your Practice by Elizabeth Mansfield, and Stephanie Fatone Ph.D.
presents the Effects of Heel Height/ Foot Plate Length in Ambulation With
AFO's.
Concurrent Workshops include Ossur's RHEO Knee Certification Course (over two
days), Utah Arm 3 and Pro Control 2, Silipos System Overview, Otto Bock's New
Upper Extremity Prosthetic Solotions, and an overview of Ossur's Orthotic
Applications.
A total of 28 CEU's have been applied for with ABC including the concurrent
sessions.
The Midwest Chapter offers ancillary activities as well, such as: it's Annual
Golf Outing on June 3rd at Morningstar Golfer's Club which benefit's OPAF's
Dale Yasukawa Memorial Fund, a First Swing Clinic on June 5th sponsored by
OPAF and NAGA also at Morningstar, and the traditional Manufacturer's Cocktail
Party on Friday evening sponsored by Otto Bock and Ossur.
The Wyndham Milwaukee Center's location along the Riverwalk offers a unique
opportunity to participate in Riversplash Milwaukee's first festival of the
season, so bring the family and enjoy this fun (and free) event!
A special room rate of $139 for the Wyndham will be available through May
5th.
