Are PT's allowed to legally provide O&P care in florida?
Text:
This is the PT that is encouraging PT's to bill for O&P. This was his
response to my email to him. Is this true?
I have a practitioner opening, can I employ a PT and have treat patients
legally?

I also wanted to clarify your statement. Are you just stating it is illegal
for prosthetics or prosthetics and Orthotics? OT's can fabricate, fit, and bill
for Orthotics. It is in their training and in their state practice acts.
I just happen to be in DC at Federal Government Affairs and the people from
Florida tell me they can do it. They said the P&O's tried to stop them but were
unsuccessful.
