The Cambodia Trust, a UK registered charity, operates
physical rehabilitation centres and a P&O school in
Cambodia and holds ISO 9001:2000 accreditation. We are
seeking an experienced Orthotist or Prosthetist /
Orthotist to work as part of a mentoring team with a
Physiotherapist.
Cambodia Trust is working to develop the physical
rehabilitation sector of Cambodia. The mentoring team
is a key element in this development and will work
alongside existing expatriate and national staff,
mentoring, advising and facilitating skills sharing.
The successful applicant will:
o Ensure quality of patient care and delivery of
services for all rehabilitation centres through
monitoring and training.
o Co-ordinate and liase with other NGO's for
networking and resource sharing in the field of
rehabilitation.
o Provide reports on clinical/technical programmes and
training.
Opportunity #2
The Cambodian School of Prosthetics and Orthotics is a
division of the Cambodia Trust. The school is an ISPO
recognised institute and offers Prosthetic / Orthotic
Category 2 training to students from low-income
countries. Currently we have students from Laos,
Myanmar, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, East Timor and
Afghanistan.
We are seeking an experienced Prosthetist / Orthotist,
who is committed to sharing their skills with young
and enthusiastic students and national staff. You
would work alongside existing expatriate and national
staff.
The successful applicant will:
· Train, advise, support and counterpart CSPO national
staff.
· Support national staff in the preparation of
teaching materials, lesson plans and delivery of
lessons.
· Support national staff to prepare and conduct
regular testing of student's progress.
The minimum contract duration for either position is 2
years.
Location: Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Closing date: 26th March 2004.
Previous experience working in another culture would
be an advantage.
