Dear List Members,

It's amazing to note a bicycle seat and a prosthetic foot does slightly resemble functionally vertical shock absorption as well rocker movement of ankle.

Indeed an inverted prosthetic foot could safely be adapted in place of a bicycle seat that's also undergoing drastic design changes, known by the name Banana seat, and not vice versa as a inverted seat cannot be well adapted because it may not withstand daily rocker action and overall enlarged shape design.

Does FDA approve bicycle seat or prosthetic feet ?
both fall under different category an engineering and other a biomedical device respectively.

This below mentioned old book is quite interesting going through various technical aspects.
