Mediation is such a simple process.

First you establish an equal playing field. One, on which, the participants come together in good faith.

Each side lays our their needs in plain english and for good measure also states their wants to demystify their agenda. What is the difference? Wants are negotiable and needs are not.

If good faith is still on the table and the needs are aligned so there is no critical differences, then wants can be negotiated to establish the middle ground.

If needs are not aligned then there is ample evidence that middle ground is not attainable and separation is a given.

I challenge both ABC and BOC to determine their needs vs their wants. Publish them so their constituency is informed and if aligned, come together. If not, then maybe this is a premature question to try to answer.

I am certain that there will be some precipitating event that will define both parties. A common enemy is very unifying. PT encroachment maybe.
