Hello Listserve.

I am interested in hearing from anyone with billing experiences or guidance
regarding software-generated physician orders or electronic signatures. Are
there pathways by which Medicaid/Medicare or other insurance providers can
or are accepting these physician orders without an actual handwritten
signature? With this trend toward software-based, automated electronic
system for generating orders, interdepartmental communications and storage
of the various documentations, the paper charts and scripts will be replaced
with an electronic media. There should be some manner of creating a
statement to certify the validity of this media, in particularly regarding
the orders without handwritten signatures as they relate to the various
insurance providers.

Thanks you.
