Members,

Sorry for the late response to my question on new fitting approaches to
Chopart amputees. Thank you all for helping.

I've used articulated AFO's with toe fillers quite effectively. A bit
different design and philosophy, but they have worked out well.

As far as the shrinkers, I would recommend compressogrip.

Contact Knit-Rite for your shrinker and check with Otto Bock for your
Prosthesis, Otto Bock has new designs fabricated of Silicone with no zipper or other
closures.

Look at the Arizonia Brace wit partical foot. Towers Orthopedic Designs, Inc.

Hi, I'm _______ ______, I'm a prosthetic tech and practitioner helper. As far
as new socket designs for choparts, there really aren't any. First of all,
the medial and posterior opening (posterior being the superior design) are very
light weight and you don't have to worry about the height discepency caused by
the extra padding you'ld get from a pelite liner, (the only liner I'ld
reccomend is made by TEC Interface, make sure it is thin ie no more than five
millimeters distally, tapering up and no longer than mid shin, but it's going to
cost you and it will take a couple days but it may be worth it if you think it
may make the patient more compient). <- but I still recomend the poisterior
opening. as far as the shrinkers go that's a pickle as far as time restraints go
and considering the fact that I received this message a few days late I hope
your not waiting for my advice. However, if you stil need to find someone I
would reccomend OWW, or Juzo but it will take a few days an
d probably longer than it would take to get back that TEC liner.

Thanks again,
