Of the entire text of Mr. Hoxie's lengthy and less than clear explanation
the above sentence is the only one that addresses the reasoning behind the
decision to offer an ABC credential to BOC practicitioners. I'm afraid I
still do not understand what the ABC board hoped to gain by this
offer. Why did they think that this would be the best course of action
available to them? Was it simply to increase the number of ABC
registrants? Was it to undermine the financial integrity of BOC? I'm
hoping that there is a better rationale than these as I do not believe that
either of these goals has been, or will be achieved. To be honest, from
the outside it just looks like a tit-for-tat without any real thought as to
the outcome.
Please reply to the board as I'm certain I'm not the only one with these
questions.
