Dear list,
I work with a lady that has a right symes prosthesis (laminated medial
opening socket and Seattle foot). She has started horseback riding a
lot and has been having problems with her limb in the proximal area of
the socket. As she rides, the prosthesis is rotated by the stirrup from
her western style saddle and she has rotational irritation on her
tibial condyles. There is just enough room for the Seattle foot but
since it need to be replaced, any suggestion? Any saddle modification
that anyone can suggest? I jokingly suggested riding side saddle but
she did not think much of that idea. ;-)
