?Thanks for you input on the ED prosthesis for the truck driver student. I
recieved responses from a few people suggesting the Vasi ball and socket
Omni wrist, the Greifer, and N-Abler wrists. I tried several combinations
of wrists, including Sierra, and several TDs- hooks, hands and TRS Grips.
I found a combination
that worked well enough to put him at the top of the class! An Ideal
silicone locking liner with adaptor
made to attach a 5X hook directly to the liner, and cable housing mount
plate modified to help with the shifting, teflon lined housing and standard
figure 8 harness. He can feel the shape of the shifter and other levers
through the liner, the silicone grips the surfaces well and it is light and
comfortable to wear. I
