Hi All
I wonder if you can help advise me on an appropriate primary prescription
for a young woman with a Van Nes rotational osteotomy. There is a
reasonable amount of information on the web for surgical technique, but
virtually nothing for prosthetic prescription. Unfortunately, having never
experienced fitting this type of prescription we are not sure what the
best/optimal prescription would be.
Please can individuals who have had significant experience in this area
contact me Re:
* Is ischial weight bearing necessary?
* Is a full leather corset required - has anyone had any success with
thermoplastics?
* Any potiential difficulties?
* What level of activity can this patient expect?
If possible, I would like to show some photos to the individual concerned -
please send any good ones of the prosthesis, in use etc..
Thanks for taking the time to read this
best regards
Martin
