Dear Colleagues,
Requesting input from prosthetists who use myoelectrics on children. I am currently working on a congenital unilateral BE for a nine year old female who has mastered conventional systems. She has successfully gone through the progression of prosthesis to arrive at a VASI cookie crusher design. Now, after a year and a half I am looking to replace the prosthesis and investigate upgrades to keep her challenged. After consulting manufacturers, it appears an electric wrist rotator and introducing proportional control is the next step. I request any input on this case and the pros/cons of using the VASI electric wrist rotator.
