Can you tell me if you are billing HMO's for adjustments that you make to a patient with a c-leg?
Exp. if I see a patient and they are having trouble with their c-leg I perform an assessment which includes the following: Speak to patient to assess what they are experiencing. Remove the cover/skin, check over all of the parts, foot, shin (electronics) and c-leg.
Patient applies and connects to the laptop. Check over the settings/function. Check over the battery charger. Possibly remove the c-leg, the c-leg pylon or both. Apply the loaner, re-adjust the settings.

When the patient is seen remove the c-leg/pylon. Adjust the settings on the c-leg. Observe the patient walking on level floor, stairs and ramps.

Are you charging for your time to do this?

Thank you.
