The Amputee Coalition of America's Train-the-Trainer Seminar will be
held on Sunday, February 29, 2004, following the Annual Meeting of the
American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) in New Orleans.
This session will certify attendees to train peer visitors using ACA's
standardized training curriculum.
The interactive seminar will include discussions about the ACA volunteer
trainer and peer visitor certification program; information about the
characteristics of adult learners and their implications for the
trainer; presentation tips from the pros; and techniques for dealing
with difficult training situations. Attendees will use ACA materials to
conduct a short presentation and will then receive feedback from the
other group members. The seminar will be facilitated by master trainer
Pat Isenberg, ACA Chief Operating Officer.
