New Year to all

I like to sound off on this issue

The first thing I thought when I read, Otto Bock not attending the meeting,
was they were cutting back on expenses and trying to save money. This is
usually the first sign of a company having financial trouble.

The second thought was, when we allow manufactures to do our professional
R&D, there goal, is to make it easy for everyone. (more buyers) They make
their products for the lowest common denominators.

WE NEED TO CREATE NEW PRODUCTS! These new products need to deal with
interface issues. When we can deal with spacity, diabetic, and deformed feet
maybe we can take back our profession.

We do not need to go to these meeting for checking out products/components.
(kind of boring & how does that help me improve in my professional ability?)
We need new ways of making decision with patients.

But there is no format where in depth discussion takes place as I see it.
How many years does it take to get past using the same AFO as we did in the
eighty's. (except AFO development though a PT.) Please, I do see it in
clinic all the time.
