I want to share input from an amputee who e-mailed me re: problem of
cracking of Alpha liners around the umbrella. This is a f/u to the
responses I sent out yesterday.

He wrote:
I'm a bi-lateral amputee and I use Alpha liners all the time. The
liners
would only last a couple of months for the distal end would always seem
to
crack and then the covering would start to delaminate. I found out
from
another amputee that she was having the same problem but suggested that
I try to use an ankle high nylon from the local drug store. I don the
nylon before I roll on the liner. So far this has worked. I haven't
had anymore calluses and the pinch points have all disappeared. And
thus far the liners(alpha) have lasted more than six months. And I'm
over 265 lbs.
