Dear list
I have an above elbow congenital amputee who has been wearing a conventional
body powered prosthesis. She has expressed a desire to try a myoelectric
prosthesis (and is able to control it). Our normal socket / harness design
for a myo prosthesis usually has an anterior strap. She does not want an
anterior strap!
The conventional socket with the standard figure 8 harness does not control
the medial rotation of the socket and I am having difficulty hybridizing the
two for an effective solution.
Any suggestions or experiences will be helpful.
Thanks in advance
