Dear List,
I have used various brands of trans-tibial liners for silicone suction
suspension using shuttle lock/pin with varying degrees of success. I prefer to take
my impressions via the Ice-Cast method which works well for me. It seems to me
that there are inherent problems with each brand of liner, be it skin
reaction in the form of a rash, welting at the proximal trim (weather it's trimmed to
match socket brim or using scalloping scissors) or deterioration of the
material in weight bearing areas.
I would very much appreciate as many different views, experiences, or success
stories including preferred brand, material, and durability from fellow
subscribers. I will post the information unless otherwise requested or anonymously
if preferred.
Thank you for your input.
