Good Morning Everyone!
I have a a question........when a shoe is ATTACHED to a brace, I use code
L3224 with the LT or RT Modifier and KX, Quantity 1. For the other shoe I have
been using L3215 with the opposite modifier. I am only getting paid on the
shoe attached to the brace. We used to code with L3224 x 2 with the LT RT and
KX modifiers but medicare was not paying anything, for either shoe.
I guess in my mind, I cannot understand how Medicare can only pay for one
shoe for a patient, this seems crazy to me.........
How does everyone else handle this???
Any feedback, comments, advice would be appreciated.
Thanks so very much and have a great day!
