Dear list, I'm looking for ideas for a lightweight KAFO for one of my kids.
9yo/ht:50 wt:50lbs.
No spasticity. The KAFOS are used to limit knee hyperextension and/or ankle
varus. I've been using a poly KAFO with free knee(Becker) and ankle
joints(Tamarack) and the child has done fine. My question is whether there
is a lower profile, lighter weight system. I spoke to Townsend but the KJ'
are adult sized and this would be too bulky. Thank you for you responses.
