Thanks to for all the replies and suggestions for my query for breathable
alternatives for neoprene. There are too many companies to mention that
offer the typical, heavy weave elastic supports. Some elastic supports have
been improved with a tighter, smoother weave incorporating Lycra and similar
materials. These are extremely thin and light weight and report increased
moisture wicking and breathability. BioSkin and EpX are good examples.
Generation II, DonJoy and Innovation Sports have products boasting similar
moisture wicking and breathability. My needs were for some alternative that
was perforated or ventilated...something that even looked like it should be
airy...sometimes something has to look like the goal to achieve the
goal. Breg's AirMesh should function well.
