|| This seminar will provide the attendee with a brief overview of the
magnitude
|of the global health problem related to injury and review key concepts
and
|strategies in the field of Injury Prevention and Control (IPC). In
addition,
|the presenters will discuss Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medical
Services
|(EMS) in the context of IPC, interaction and advocacy with government
|officials, and injury data collection and surveillance. Finally, the
|presenters| will review a variety of interventions, involving the
prehospital environment,
|safety and traffic initiatives, and educational courses. Following the
|presentations, there will be time for discussion.
