Why does AOPA continually post commercial ads to this professional list? If
it is to reach their membership, they could do a much better job of it by
sending email directly to their members. If the members do not have an
email address, they are not reading this either.
The AOPA in Advance posted here contains only headlines and no real
information. To get the full story and information, one must be a member,
so the posting of the AOA is nothing more than an advertisement for AOPA.
The posting from Virginia Torsch here about HIPAA may have caused members of
the list to believe that AOPA will answer their questions. As she has
confirmed to me, they will not answer questions from non-AOPA members.
All of their postings can easily go directly to their membership without
bothering the vast majority of list participants who are not AOPA members.
Please, AOPA, contribute useful and complete information and leave the
repeated advertisements out.
If anyone doubts that AOPA's contribution to this list is not mostly
advertising, just look at the last line of their email.....AOPA Knows the
Business of O&P. Become a member today!

Subject: [OANDP-L] CodingPro Installation Questions
The AOPA CodingPro technical support staff has received a number of
questions regarding the proper instillation of the 2003 CodingPro
program.
The 2003 CodingPro is the first version to incorporate the option of
entering and editing Medicare allowables during installation. However,
the majority of the installation queries AOPA has received revolve
around the Windows XP operating system.
One of the features of Windows XP is to read the CD-ROM drive and
suggest a number of instillation programs already on your computer.
This function should be ignored and users are urged to follow the
instructions located in the CodingPro CD-ROM booklet.
If you have additional questions about the CodingPro, please contact
AOPA's reimbursement expert, Patrick Kelly, at (571) 431-0876, ext. 211
