Joe:

Good effort, but technically the BOC can't even use the acronyms: BOCO,
BOCP or BOCPO (though many do). They are required to use BOC orthotist,
BOC Prosthetists or BOC orthotist prosthetist or BOC prosthetist
orthotist.

Ever seen any of these?

The ABC and the BOC have agreed in Federal court how certified
practitioners are to refer to themselves. ABC has the rights to the
designations CO, CP, CPO Certified Prosthetist, Certified Orthotist,
Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist, etc.

BOC Practitioners use the designations BOCO, BOCP, BOCPO or BOC
Prosthetist, etc.

You can file a complaint in writing by submitting evidence of the
unauthorized use of ABC designations to:

There is a BOC business owner / orthotist in my area that is
signing his
name in the hospital progress notes as a CP. Does the BOC
organization
have any ethics about this fraudulent practice? Does ABC care
about it?
If either does who do I contact because I will rat him out.
