Hello All,
We have been having a great deal of trouble getting reimbursed for
repair/replacement components (like straps, for instance) on older
orthoses. Medicare is requesting that we provide the part numbers and
manufacturer's contact information for all the components replaced.
Since we do not purchase prefabricated straps, the cost of the straps
are not reflected merely by the cost of the Velcro and Dacron. Is
anyone else in Florida (or other Region C states) having a similar
issue? We'd like to hear how other individuals are dealing with the
situation. We are not currently billing for labor to replace the
straps, simply including that in the cost of the strap.
I look forward to your replies.
