Join us at OPGA for the 2003 Heartland Conference for fun
and education.
We have assembled an excellent list of speakers in O&P this
year that include:
John Michael - The Art of Prosthetics, Gel Liners, and
The Biomechanics of Stance Control Orthoses
Dennis Clark - Growing Your Business Through Education
Terry Long - Billing for O&P and Are You Ready for HIPAA
John Miguelez - Upper Extremity Prosthetics Rehabilitation
Andy Steele - Central Fabrication
Bob Brown - IPOP, EPOP, or APOPPS
Sam Hamontree - Business & Financial Aspects of the O&P
Business/Practice
Jim Andreassen - Panel Discussion Q&A on O&P Issues and
Trends with all our presenters
Mark Higley - HIPAA Today: Where We Go From Here
Our keynote speaker will be Senator Charles Grassley (R,
IA). Senator Grassley is Chairman of the Finance Committee, probably the
most powerful committee in D.C. As most of you probably know, all Medicare
reform issues go through this committee. He also sits on the Budget
Committee. This is an excellent opportunity to meet him face to face and
discuss any questions regarding competitive bidding, HIPAA, etc.
The VGM Group, the parent company of OPGA, will sponsor the event
May 28-31 in Waterloo, Iowa.
The Heartland Conference will feature four tracks of education for
orthotic and prosthetic practitioners, home medical equipment/respiratory
providers, high-tech rehab specialists and therapists, and case managers.
In addition to more than 80 total seminars in all 4 tracks,
most of which offer CEUs, the conference will feature exhibits by 90 of the
industry's leading manufacturers, ample networking opportunities and a
number of social events, including the citywide My Waterloo Days Festival,
fireworks display, a gala party, hog roast, golf tournament and hot air
balloon ascension.
To register, call 1-800-214-6742 and ask for Kelly, Sue or Jim, or
check out www.heartland2003.com for all the information and details
regarding the conference.
See you all in May!
