All~
Just a reminder of the outstanding continuing educational opportunity with
the Midwest Chapter AAOP's Spring Scientific Meeting May 29-31 2003.
Please join us at the Tinley Park Convention Center in this southern suburb
of Chicago, conveniently located near Midway Airport and the I-80/294
junction.
The agenda boasts another groundbreaking symposium: Silicone/Urethane
Solutions to Transfemoral Fitting. Representatives from Otto Bock, TEC
Interface, Ossur, and Ohio Willow Wood will be presenting their solutions to
specific topics ie: Suspension, rotational control, socket design, and
interface followed by a lively panel discussion. Too numerous to list
individually are our didactic sessions of an interesting variety of topics
germane to the business and practice of O&P.
Two new workshops have been added since our last post: Cranial Molding
Helmets presented by Dulcey Lima CO/Orthomerica, and Silipose Gel Liner
Applications by Mark Vogel CPO. These are in addition to the VASS Workshop,
Becker Stance Control Qualifying Course, and Endolite NA's Adaptive Knee
Workshop already slated.
Along with this excellent program there is the annual golf outing at Odyssey
Country Club which will benefit the Dale Yasukawa Memorial Fund administered
by OPAF.
A Fit For Life First Swing Clinic is schedule for May 29th also at the
Odyssey Country Club. OPAF and NAGA have partnered to present this special
session which instructs therapists in the benefits of using the golf swing as
a rehabilitation tool. This clinic is open to therapists of all disciplines
and all people with disabilities free of charge. For more information contact
Joe Ramicone at <Email Address Redacted>

Hope to see you there!
