Dudley Childress, PhD will be the keynote presenter at the Academy's Annual Meeting and Scientific Symposium in San Diego, March 19-22. He will share his thoughts on The Shape of the O&P Profession including the existing body of knowledge plus comments on ethics, skills, education, associated occupations (physical therapists, orthopaedists, etc.), suppliers, and the future.

Dr. Childress is the renowned Director of the Northwestern Engineering Research program in Prosthetics and Orthotics and a Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Physical Medicine and rehabilitation at Northwestern University. He has received many honors during his career; most recently he received the Paul B. Magnuson Award from the Department of Veterans Affairs Rehabilitation Research and Development Service.
