My experience is limited but unsuccessful. Some folks praise it highly
and
laminate it into the socket.

Not sure what information you are looking for.....but I have been using
farabloc with my clients for 5+ years. I have received varying results,
like anything it works amazing results on some and others claim no
difference. I actually laminate it into nearly all the sockets that I
make, especially those of clients who suffer greatly from phantom pain.
An interesting result being that even though I haven't told most
amputees that it is in their sockets, if I make their next one without,
they have been know to comment that they are suddenly getting more
phantoms than with the last socket. I have a bilateral bk, whose
sockets I have always laminated the farabloc into because he has been
know to suffer from lots of phantom pain. On fabricating a set of
replacement sockets once my new technician forgot to put the farabloc in
one side only and the client noticed the difference in pain level almost
instantly. Claiming not only to have more problems with the new socket
compared to the old, but more phantom pains on the side that was missing
the farabloc as compared to the new socket on the other side.
I hope this helps, if you have any further questions or want more
specific information, feel free to email me at <Email Address Redacted> .

I have used it several times with roughly 75% effectiveness. The
Canadian Journal of Medicine has done an article with similar results
compared to a blind study group . The patients who have used it have
dramatically reduce pain and now are much less agitated with any stimuli
on the remnant limb. Sample patient usage has been Partial foot ,
Partial hand BE BK and AK's. Tony Van der Warde introduced it to me
several years ago His Web site is Awardproshtetics.com

Looks like snake oil to me.
Over the years I have used Farabloc for treatment of phantom pain,
usually when nothing else works. The odd one will report that they do
get relief but in general no real impact on phantom pain is seen. There
are almost no re-orders of the product which I think says a lot. On the
other hand this product has been around for 20 years.(app.) Regards Jim

I tried it on one patient. It did nothing but slip off.
