Dear Listserv members:

I know that I am probably opening a can of worms by raising the following
question, but here it goes.

It seems that many therapists are requesting the use of a particular brand of
Orthoses for use on their pediatric patients (i.e. Cascade DAFO's). I also
feel that by not providing these devices, one is at risk of losing referral
sources and patients. I have always been of the belief that nothing fits
better than devices one actually works on at their own facility, rather than
using Central Fabs.

My question is - what experiences have practitioners had using the Cascade
System? Have you lost referral sources to PT's who insist on using Cascade
products rather than your own custom-made products? In your opinion as a
Profession do you feel there is any compromise being made by using these
products rather than in-house fabrications or products like the TC2 line from
Orthomerica and other like orthoses.

I will post the responses in the near future.

Thanks
