Hi Everyone,
I'm working with an person with a crushed foot (workmans comp) who wants
the Ertl Procedure, and has been denied the amputation due to the onset
of RSD. So far, he is experiencing problems with the foot, and up to
about two inches proximal to the ankle.
If my memory is correct, this would be a contra-indication for the
surgery, but I'd like to research the matter a little more. I would
really appreciate it if anyone could point me to applicable studies or
personal experience fitting similar patients.
I'll be away from the computer for the rest of the week, but will post
replies when I return.
Thanks in advance,
Marcus Boren, CP

PS - After recieving all of the replies on female amputee practitioners,
it looks like there are eight in the field, and one more in school.
