I attended a one day course yesterday and a well known and published
Occupational Therapist was there and presented an interesting stat.
There are 40,000 amputations in the United States each year and 30% are
upper extremity.
From what I remember, the number was closer to 100,000/year with 4% upper
but can not find the source for these numbers.
Does anyone have a published study or direct reference for this type of
statistic?
I will post any source material I receive.
