While most of us on the East Coast are having to deal with more snow than we've seen in many years, and continuing frigid temperatures, San Diego is a balmy 60 degrees today and will be an even warmer 68-72 during the Academy's Annual Meeting March 19-22.

The Academy has prepared a meeting with more than 101 scientific and clinical sessions to choose from. The sessions are presented in a variety of presentation styles from the formal presentation of scientific papers during the Thranhardt Lecture Series, to hands-on technical workshops, to the didactic classroom style of instructional courses, to the casual anecdotal atmosphere of free papers. Whether you're a visual learner, audio-oriented, or prefer the learn-by-doing approach the variety of styles ensures a successful learning experience for all.

The initial activities of Project Quantum Leap will be showcased at the Academy's booth featuring the debut of a poster for National O&P Awareness Week 2003. In addition, 35 students from a Medical-Health Science Academy in San Diego will visit the meeting for an orientation on careers in O&P followed by a tour of the exhibit hall guided by students from Cal State-Dominguez Hills.

Updated program information was mailed to all ABC certifees (and a list of interested others). If we missed you please visit the Academy's website at www.oandp.org < <URL Redacted>> to view the entire program and to register online. The hotel room block is nearly filled, so act quickly for best rates.
