I have been asked by my son's kindergarten teacher to do a class
presentation on What I Do. I don't want to do something too
overwhelming for 5 year olds and I'm sure that I will do this yearly, so
I want to keep things fun and age appropriate. I am considering making
alginate impressions of their thumbs and filling the molds for them with
laminate. I can put a washer in the top of the mold to make a key
chain. I have done this several times in the past for my own children
and used acrylic resin to obtain a rigid mold. We manufacture using
thermoplastics and do not laminate at all. I am not familiar with many
of the silicone based products and am asking for opinions on materials
to use that will provide a life-like feel yet be durable enough for this
project.

Secondly, does anyone have other suggestions on a fun prosthetic project
that I can do with 13 five year olds in the confines of a classroom?
Fun, fun!!!
