Mark Your Calendars for Reno!
Happy New Year to Everyone,
AOPA's 2003 National Assembly (the nation's premier O & P meeting) will be held in Reno, Nevada October 22nd through 25th. This call for papers is part of AOPA's commitment to further enhance the educational sessions at the Assembly. Last year's response was phenomenal! I am happy to report that we received approximately 100 submissions, resulting in AOPA's most successful assembly to date. And the 2003 program promises to be just as exciting. I encourage you to consider participating in this October's event. Eligible presenters will receive a one-day complimentary registration for the 2003 Assembly, and with $99 room rates at the Hilton, you can't afford to miss this meeting!
Papers will be selected by the AOPA Clinical Sessions Workgroup from the abstracts received. Presentations will be 15 or 30 minutes in length, based on the strength of the abstracts and the amount of time requested by the presenter. Presentations must fall into one or more of the following categories:
.Scientific papers based on sound research and supported by solid data
.Clinical papers based on case reports and outcomes
.Clinical papers based on anecdotal observations and opinions
.Clinical papers based on significant experience with a technique, component or system
.Reports on new products, components or systems (no commercials, please)
The call for papers form and separate abstracts should be returned to AOPA no later than March 3, 2003. For forms and more information, contact Sheila Pasquini via telephone (571) 431-0834 or e-mail <Email Address Redacted> Alternatively, you can check out the AOPA Web site at <URL Redacted>. I look forward to seeing you in Reno!
Sincerely,
Lisa Schoonmaker, CPO, FAAOP
Chairperson, AOPA Clinical Sessions Workgroup
